Board of Directors

Dan Andrews — Board Chairperson

Dan lives in Victor, IA, is Pastor of Victor Baptist Church, and has served on the board since the year 2000.  Pastoring a church just 15 minutes from the camp, where VBC’s young people attend and where he has been asked to speak several times, it was natural for Dan to find more ways to help the ministry.  EIBC has been a vital ministry in both the church and in the lives of the families who attend VBC.

Dan feels extremely privileged to have a smallpart in shaping the direction of this tool for Christ and to be able to use his gifts for God’s glory helping out around the camp.

Dan is married and has 5 children.  In his spare time he enjoys editing webpages and currently has 3 or 4 pages that he is webmaster for.

Dave Baugh – Vice President

David lives in Robins, IA, is a member of Faith Bible Church in Cedar Rapids, IA, and has served on the board of EIBC since 2006.  David is a department manager at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and is a leader in the youth group at Faith Bible Church.

David’s children all grew up going to EIBC and he has even been a Bible speaker a few times during the summer.

David is married to Ruth and has three daughters.

Floyd Smith — Treasurer

Floyd lives in North English, IA,  is a member of Community Church in Deep River, IA, and has served on the board since 1963.  Floyd and his family farmed south of the camp for 20 years and worked at Victor Manufacturing for 20 years.  After a first retirement, Floyd and his wife Shirley worked part-time for a vending machine company in North English.  Floyd volunteers in various positions at his church and is on the Senior Citizen Board in North English.  You will find him working at camp often.

Floyd’s wife Shirley is the daughter of Clarence Grimm, one of the founders of EIBC.  The Smith’s have 2 sons and a daughter.  Their daughter was a summer counselor for 5 summers, met her husband at EIBC, and was married at camp!

Floyd loves serving the Lord with a group of men who want to see the Word of God proclaimed, lives changed, and to see former campers serving the Lord in various areas of life.

Curtis Beekman — Secretary

Curtis lives in Mediapolis, IA, is a member of Harmony Bible Church in Danville, IA, and has served on the board since 2006.  Curtis is a Development Engineer for Case-New Holland located in Burlington, IA.  In his spare time Curtis enjoys gardening, working in the yard, fishing, college wrestling, playing football with his kids, and going on dates with his wife.

Curtis was led to Christ as a 12 year old with the help of a counselor at a Christian camp so Christian camping has always had a special place in his heart.  After attending family camp at EIBC and serving the camp through various work projects, Curtis felt God calling him to take on more responsibility and join the board.

Curtis loves seeing and hearing about the results of God’s work at EIBC up front and in detail.  He also loves being able to serve alongside men of various backgrounds who share a love for God and the camp.

Curtis is married and has 3 young children; 2 boys and a girl.

Eddie Johnson

Eddie is married to Julie. We have been married for only 7 years. Julie and I have both lost our mates to the lord. We found each other at our church which is Harmony Bible Church in Danville Iowa.

We have 8 children between us and soon to be 26 grand children. We have been blessed beyond words how God has brought our two family’s together.

Retired in May of 2013 from Borghi USA Inc. in Burlington, Iowa. I was a supervisor and lead person in the production of tubing for Case, and other company’s that use hydraulic systems.

Julie is a pre-school teacher in New London, Iowa. She will retire after this school year of 2015.

Julie and her late husband Mike Kelly have been coming to EIBC for over 30 and Mike was also on the board. Julie and I have been coming to EIBC since we married. I have come to love the camp and ALL that it does for the young and old to growth in the Lord.

I came to know the Lord in August 1978 after the passing of my father-in-law. Since then God has guided me to where I’m at today. Some people have asked if I could go back in time and change something what would it be. The answer is NOT a thing. God has a plan for me and I don’t want it to change. You see I’m NOT in charge HE is and I’m loving every moment of it.
